THE FACES OF DISTORTION

Inspired by distortion, this collection explores this term in the widest meaning. Focusing on the physical distortion of myself as well as my close friends this project is also highly influenced by my home country, Germany, and its cityscapes destruction and reconstruction.  Aesthetically, I was inspired by the british art movement Vorticism.

For this project I worked exclusively on white polyester. Techniques included screen printing, sublimation printing as well as working with transfer inks and finishes such as bondaweb and vinyl.
